Dear Friends,

Let me first introduce myself: my name is Harriet Smith and just started as an intern with The Birth Center of Baltimore. I am a graduate student at Towson University and I’ll be an intern with BCB until May.

Right now the project is starting from the beginning. We are in the midst of convening a board of directors and writing our business plan.

Susan and I will be updating the blog every month letting you all know of the process that has been made.  We’re also going to be suggesting ways that you can help.

I am truly honored and excited to be working on this vital project.  I  care deeply about increasing birthing options for people in Baltimore, and I am so glad to be joining a community that is going to make this happen.
